Building on Success
Patient demand for the best musculoskeletal care increases every year. Over the past decade, HSS surgical volume, alone, is up 65%.
HSS must expand to meet the ever-rising demand. That’s why HSS has launched the largest clinical expansion in the hospital’s history, supported by a $100 million+ capital campaign, called Building on Success.
Building on Success - Understanding the Need
HSS is, literally, operating at capacity, with no room to grow. New space is needed now. Here’s why:
Baby Boomers are aging. New HSS techniques are allowing earlier joint replacements. HSS innovations in minimally invasive procedures can relieve pain in a wider group of patients. The internet allows patients to search for the best care and choose HSS.
All these factors, and more, mean more patients coming to HSS - an estimated 25% more over just the next 5 years. HSS must expand to meet demand.
The $100 million+ Building On Success capital campaign will build new operating rooms, new clinical facilities, new clinical research programs and a new Children's Pavilion.
Chaired by Patricia G. Warner, Kendrick Wilson III, and Honorary Chairman Richard L. Menschel, the campaign has already raised $92 million. Plans have been drawn. City approvals gained. You can help construction by donating now.
