An electrodiagnostic test aids in the diagnosis of neurologic injuries as well as musculoskeletal disorders or dysfunction. This two-part test includes nerve conduction and electromyographic (EMG) studies to assess nerve abnormalities leading to conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and rotator cuff problems.
