Pilates Video Demonstration Series

Pilates can be defined in most simple terms as the art of strength, stretch and control. There are six guiding principles of the method: Breathing, Centering, Control, Concentration, Precision, and Flow of Movement. Through these introductory exercises, you will discover various ways to identify your core muscles and then learn how to access and strengthen them more efficiently. This four-part series of videos represents each successive exercise and its place in the overall Pilates experience.

I. Pilates Breathing

This video focuses on breathing, including the concepts of breath awareness, lateral breathing, and Pilates "scoop."

II. Pelvic Alignment
