Dr. Darren Lebl specializes in the treatment of complex degenerative, deformity, and traumatic spinal conditions of the pediatric and adult patient. Dr. Lebl's practice involves minimally invasive and motion preserving alternatives to spinal fusion in select patients. He holds a special interest in the reconstruction of complex spinal deformities of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine and treating patients requiring revision surgery. His practice utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care focused on the improvement and treatment of underlying bone deficiencies, the use of biologic healing agents, and newer and less invasive techniques to surgically treat a number of spinal conditions.

Dr. Lebl graduated from the University of Chicago with college honors in biochemistry and molecular biology, chemistry and economics. After a medical mission to the Gambia,West Africa he decided to pursue a medical degree on scholarship to Stanford School of Medicine. A fascination with the musculoskeletal system led him to the Massachusetts General Hospital where he completed the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program where he served as academic chief resident and editor-in-chief of the Orthopaedic Journal at Harvard Medical School. His subspecialty fellowship training in spine and scoliosis surgery was performed at the Hospital for Special Surgery where he remains as a faculty member. He has pursued additional visiting surgical fellowships in China, Japan, Spain, and Germany and believes in international collaboration and education for the improved treatment of spinal disorders.
