Archbishop Roberto Gonzalez Nieves Hospitalized

Primera Hora--San Juan, Puerto Rico—June 26, 2012   

The Archbishop Roberto Gonzalez Nieves has been hospitalized for a week due to pneumonia, said press spokesman for the San Juan archdiocese, Samuel Soto.

He suffered a bout of pneumonia but is showing marked improvement and will be discharged soon.

Last February, the Archbishop had spine surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. The operation was successfully completed by Dr. Frank Cammisa.
