Giants LB Gerris Wilkinson sidelined 6 to 8 weeks following wrist surgery

Backup New York Giants linebacker Gerris Wilkinson will be sidelined up to two months following surgery to repair a dislocated right wrist.

The surgery was performed on Monday by Dr. Robert Hotchkiss at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Wilkinson was hurt in the second half of the Giants' 21-20 loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
