Hospital for Special Surgery Ranked No. 1 in Orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report for Sixth Consecutive Year

New York, NY—July 21, 2015

For the sixth consecutive year, Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) has been ranked the top hospital in the country for orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report in its 2015 "Best Hospitals" survey. The hospital was also nationally recognized as a leader in rheumatology, ranking No. 3 in association with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

In 2014 HSS cared for more than 120,000 patients with surgical and nonsurgical services in joint replacement, spine surgery, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, pediatric orthopedics, limb lengthening, rheumatology, pain management, and osteoporosis.In the past year the Hospital has expanded patient access to care through new Outpatient Centers in Stamford, CT and Paramus, NJ, and an online second opinion service called HSS eConsult.

HSS also provides care to elite, professional and collegiate organizations both locally and around the world, including USA Basketball, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the Brooklyn Nets, New York Giants, New York Knicks, New York Liberty, New York Mets and New York Red Bulls, among others.
