Crowe Has Shoulder Surgery, Out Four Months

Cleveland--Indians outfielder Trevor Crowe will be sidelined for the bulk of the 2011 season after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder.

Crowe, who was forced into the role of spectator for all of Spring Training due to right rotator cuff soreness, had an arthroscopic debridement procedure on his throwing arm on Wednesday in New York. The operation was performed by Dr. David Altchek at Hospital for Special Surgery.

The recovery time for Crowe's particular procedure is approximately four months, according to the Indians.
