Hospital for Special Surgery formally recognizes the role that spiritual support can play in coping with the recovery from physical illness.

To help meet our patients’ spiritual needs, HSS provides a Chaplaincy Service as an integral part of the health care team. The chaplains are here to serve you and your family. They are a multi-faith community dedicated to the spiritual care of all persons.

Your spiritual support is the Pastoral Care Department’s primary mission. Please submit the Pastoral Care Request Form (pdf file) on your day of Pre-Surgical Screening.
