Statement of Need
The field of musculoskeletal medicine is highly dynamic. Orthopaedic surgeons are confronted almost daily with news about research findings resulting in improved techniques and new clinical care pathways to benefit patients suffering from complex conditions of the bone and muscles. This rapidly changing science and challenging clinical environment requires ongoing continuing medical education to assure that specialists are kept abreast of the most recent advances in the field. The Visiting Professor Lecture Series is designed to augment both the basic science and applied clinical practice knowledge of our attending physicians. Information presented in these lectures focus on both musculoskeletal research and related clinical science perspectives.
Educational Objective
Hospital for Special Surgery CME activities are intended to lead to better patient care and safety. At the conclusion of each lecture, participants will be updated on current musculoskeletal research and related science and perspectives.
