In keeping with the research mission of Hospital for Special Surgery, the goal of research within the Rehabilitation Department is to provide an outstanding program of research for the benefit of all, regardless of race, color, sexual orientation, creed, or ethnic origin. To advance the fields of physical therapy and orthopedics, the staff of the Rehabilitation Department is involved in a number of research projects. The staff not only independently initiates projects, but also collaborates with many of the Hospital's other departments as well as other academic and clinical institutions.
