Multidisciplinary Educational Conference (MEC)

On a quarterly basis, the Spine Care Institute hosts an innovative educational conference at HSS with all of the services that comprise the SCI represented.  For each conference, a panel is formed with a select member from each service.  Cases are presented on a given topic with each specialty weighing in on the clinical management of each patient.  Through this process and others, the Spine Care Institute works to achieve a standardized level of excellence across all of our care services.  Patient care is enhanced when all services are in agreement regarding the best possible care strategy for our patients.
