Women's Sports Medicine Center 2012 Summer Internship

The Women’s Sports Medicine Center at Hospital for Special Surgery sponsors internships for students interested in the field of sports medicine with a special focus on active and athletic women. The internship is a part-time, 8-week summer experience. Interns will have the opportunity to shadow members of our health care team: sports medicine physicians (with various subspecialties: orthopedics, physiatry, and primary care), a physical therapist, nutritionists, and a sport psychologist. Interns are responsible for the completion of a sports medicine-related project and are involved in educational outreach on behalf of the Women’s Sports Medicine Center. Interns may also have the opportunity to assist in various ongoing research projects at the Center.

Applicants must be entering or completing their 4th year of undergraduate school, graduate students, or 1st year medical students. Interns are paid a stipend of $1,000.
