Frank A. Cordasco, MD, MS
Dr. Frank A. Cordasco is an Associate Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Sports Medicine and Shoulder Service at Hospital for Special Surgery, and an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Dr. Cordasco is the Surgical Director of the HSS Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is the Clinical Co-Director of the Leon Root Motion Analysis Laboratory.
Dr. Cordasco has been in practice since 1990, specializing in surgery for sports related injuries of the knee and shoulder. He has received the Charles S. Neer II Award three times for recognition of outstanding clinical research in the field of shoulder surgery and is the author of numerous peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters. He has been a member of the course faculty of countless national and international professional meetings and educational programs throughout the last decade. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Cordasco is an active member of many professional organizations, including: The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
